Mayors' Chess Challenge Oakland Park

A FREE Community Event for the Entire Family – A monthly event hosted by Mayors along with other elected officials and community leaders from throughout Broward County, Florida to support scholastic chess in the schools and community. This month's event is hosted by Mayor John Adornato, Vice Mayor Tim Lonergan and the City of Oakland Park. Open to all scholastic chess players and family members. RSVP not required.

Participants will receive a “Mayors’ Chess Challenge Passport” that can be stamped at each event they attend during the school year. Participation is free, and instructors from the National Scholastic Chess Foundation will be on hand to help those new to the game.
